Good to Great fishing in Muskegon- Lake Michigan

Over the past week fishing has picked up quite a bit. Allot of 12-16 pound Kings have been caught, and some real nice fish nudging up to 20 pounds have been harvested as well. Sunday alone we landed over 30 fish on the 2 charters. Speaking of Sunday night, this trip was a family outing for the Bahl family from Midland. They were celebrating their son’s 10th birthday, celebrate he did! He landed a nice King, a really fat Brown trout, a 9 pound Steelhead and a tasty 7 pound Coho salmon! Not to mention reeling in several more Kings as well. We switched gears trying to get a Laker to complete the Great Lakes slam of all 5 species, but we did not get that lucky…..The fishing is good, there are several weekday trips in early August still available.
